Type Records = Not hype,

The only word I can use to decribe this is 'Yes'

You're never going to be as comfortable as you are right now

Harold Budd & The Cocteau Twins - The Moon and the Melodies

Collaboration between the great Harold Budd and 'Elizabeth Fraser, Robin Guthrie and Simon Raymonde' as they specify on the cover. I wish more of their stuff sounded like this, less upbeat and danceable - more melancholy, more Harold Budd. This is my favorite Cocteau Twins Record. The instrumental tracks are pretty dated, considering this was made in 1986- it demonstrates how far this genre has progressed in the last 20+ years. Beautiful record/cover art - I think it's thread of some kind through a microscope but I could be wrong.

She will destroy you is the best track.

My rip sucks but here it is The Moon and the Melodies

Here's another version

For Serious This Time

Sweet as Hell band from Long Island. I gave them 12 bucks and they sent me a discography tape and their newest CDEP. Trying to book a show with them and someone else in Albany soonish. Really, really good. I was driving with my dad somewhere listening to the New CD and he was totalllyyyy rockin out in the passenger seat to it. I hope they keep writing sick tunes.
They run a sweet label lifeonanisland - check it out

Mark Mcguire - VDSQ Solo Acoustic Volume Two

Brilliant guitar work by Mark from Emeralds fame. Not the baseball player (Mcguire not Mcgwire). So glad I came across this on ebay. Really wonderful. He has released tons of stuff. Find it.

For fans of guitars.

Best Coast

Bethany from Pocahaunted. This is alot better( Not that PH is bad by any means). They got really big really fast. This 7" went for 37 on ebay. Don't ask me why I bought it.

The Something in the way 7" is still available on Postpresentmedium and it's their best stuff yet. Best Coast sounds like you think it sounds, fun in the sun - fuzzy as fuck - painfully sweet surf jams. The beach boys cover/title track is flawless. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Threatener - The Hammering, The Fastening and The Bending of Throats

So this band rules. Perfect blend of chaos with compulsively catchy hooks. This is the discography CD - It was only 5 bucks on ebay. They were one of the best bands in punk. Listen the full way through.

New Lows - Paincave Sessions Vol.1

This tape came out on Painkiller late in 2009. Just got it. Four songs. No derivation from their formula - a good thing.

Hard.

I like what this band is doing.
